Lebanon Elementary School Mission Statement

The mission of LES is to promote academic success as well as to develop social growth for every child attending our school. This success will be accomplished by a dedicated staff that expects P.R.I.D.E. = Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort.

Picking Up and Dropping Off Students

The circle parking lot in the back of Lebanon Elementary School is where all student pick-ups and drop-offs should occur. The front parking lot is reserved for bus traffic and for guest parking during regular operating hours. In the morning, we ask that parents who are dropping off students who do not eat breakfast, time their drop-offs after 8:15 AM. Students who eat breakfast in the building may be dropped off as early as 8:00 AM.

In the afternoon, we ask that parents arriving to pick up students pull as far up on the curbing as possible. This allows us to maximize the amount of students we can pick up at any given time and will assist with the efficiency of the process.  PreK and Kindergarten students will be dismissed from classes at 3:00.  All other grade levels will be dismissed at 3:10.

We ask that parents plan their arrival times to coincide with student dismissal times in order to help ensure that traffic flows as efficiently as possible throughout the school year.

Students who are walking home from LES will be sent down the sidewalk that extends across the high school campus and towards the sidewalk on Schuetz Street.

Lebanon Elementary participates in the Prairie Farms lids program and also the Box Tops program.  Prairie Farms caps that say “Our Caps, Your Cause” can be sent in to school. We have volunteers waiting to input codes.  Place your BoxTops in a plastic bag and send them to school with your child.

If you are interested in helping out in your student’s classroom, pay close attention to grade level and classroom newsletters going home for opportunities throughout the year.

Beginning and End of the School Day

The bell rings at 8:25 to signal students to go to their classroom, a second “tardy” bell rings at 8:30 each day. Students arriving to school after 8:30 will need to check into the office before going to class. Students arriving late to school must be brought into the office and signed in by a parent/guardian.

Regular student dismissal time is 3:10 each day.
