This is a reminder that all students in grades 8-11 should have their registration forms completed and submitted by the end of the day tomorrow to Mrs. Schorfheide. All documents can be found in Google Classroom and forms should be completed and submitted there as well.

Black History Month for February 9: Charlie Sifford was the first Black man to play on the PGA Tour after two years of letters and arguments to have the “Caucasian-only” clause removed from their Rules of Play in 1961 and for February 10: Before the Williams there was a professional tennis player and professional golfer named Althea Gibson who was the first African American to win a Grand Slam title.

Attention Greyhound basketball players and fans...we are moving tonight's LHS boy's basketball game to a 5pm start tonight (Red Bud's request). The junior high game in the LES gym will remain at its scheduled 6:00 start time.

Black History Month for February 8: Dr. Patricia Bath developed the medical discipline known as community ophthalmology which serves underserved areas. She started this after noticing Black patients had twice the rate of blindness to white patients.

Good Evening LES Parents! In a communication earlier this week I informed you that on Friday's early dismissal day that the students would be dismissed at 11:15. In an effort to minimize issues with the bus routes, the elementary building will now dismiss at 11:00 AM on Friday. Reminder to families signed-up for the after school program that the after school program will not be in session on 02/12/21. Have a good weekend! Thank you.
