High school athletes of the week Varsity: Johanna Kraemer (OH/RS) (Sophomore) -Jo was chosen for her work ethic and all-around tremendous attitude. During our last week's game v.s Valmeyer Jo led the team in kills with a combined 8 kills. Jo wasn’t also just aggressive at the net with her kills she also helped the team with her aggressive serves where she had 1 ace. With being out for a little bit due to an injury the entire time she was out Jo had a proactive mindset and knew she still served an important role on the team. Jo is always willing to help the team out with any needs no matter how big or small. -Something that stands out from Jo is her positivity and ability to take ownership for her mistakes. Whether it's a missed serve or a hitting error Jo never complains and never gets defensive. She is quick to pat her chest and take ownership for her mess up, and as well as she is quick to fix her mess ups and never gives up. JV: Naomi Krumsieg (MH/RS) (Sophomore) -Naomi was chosen for her tremendous effort and extreme positivity. During last week's JV games Naomi has led the jv squad in blocks and touches. Naomi also led the team in kills in certain sets as well. Everyday Naomi comes into practice with a driven desire to grow and get better and better. Which is why this week we wanted to again recognize her for her excellent work. -I’ll repeat what we stated about her last time, which is Naomi has great coachability and persistent positivity. Even when things aren't going her way Naomi doesn’t crumble from the adversity. She instead tackles it head on with a smile on her face. Coach Kempfer and I again are truly proud of the growth and progress she has made thus far this season. We are excited to see what more growth she does as the season continues. HS Soccer Nicky Burger Game winning goal and overall solid play in all games last week

Our high school volleyball team attended a McKendree University Volleyball game last night and then hosted Ofallon First Baptist and Christ Our Rock this morning. Senior Zora Boggs won a volleyball t-shirt at the McKendree game in a serving competition. Girls had a great time. Come out for their cancer night game on Monday. They will be honoring those we have lost to cancer, those who are fighting cancer and those who have beaten cancer! They will be collecting donations to put with money collected at the basketball cancer night to help a local family who is fighting cancer. So Lebanon please come out and help our team help a member of our community

Students got to talk to different companies and colleges about manufacturing careers. They also got to tour SWICS campus and visit a local manufacturing company in Troy called Unitech.

Last night our HS Volleyball team played host to Okawville, unfortunately we lost 2-0 in both the Varsity and the JV. But we also recognized our 4th grade classes at our elementary recognition night. Steven Shirley and Charlotte Kauffmann were recognized as "Honorary Captains" for the night for their citizenship and great behavior in school this year. Great job Steven and Charlotte!
