Pre-K families attended their first parent education night this evening! They discussed the importance of the home and school connection and how to be an active participant in their child's education. We raffled a math sensory bin, and made a visual schedule to make morning routines easier! Thank you to the families that were able to join us! 💜
Jh bowling practice is canceled today due to a shortage of available busses. All Jh bowlers will go home after school today.

Second grade was learning about biographies and Helen Keller. We wanted to share our paining activity where students painted with no sight.
Yesterday FFA members wrapped up FFA week by taking a field trip to the world bird sanctuary & the endangered wolf center to learn more about wildlife conservation. It was a great day with perfect weather!

The winners will represent our school on March 13 at Westhaven School in Belleville at the Young Author Conference. They also received a plaque and Barnes & Noble gift card. 📚✏️ There were 17 books submitted this year.The judges were very impressed with all the entries. Thank you to Mrs. Noud and the Young Author Committee for bringing this event back to our school!
Spring sports coaching vacancies at LCUSD#9
We are currently looking for:
Assistant high school softball coach- this position will be an assistant coach for the Lebanon/Wesclin coop. All practices and games will take place in Trenton, practice times are approximately 3:00. Practice begins Feb 26th
Junior High Head Track Coach and Assistant Track Coach: - these positions will start practice on March 11th, practice times are after school at approximately 3:00 and the season ends at the end of April.
Coaches for these positions will need to have or be able to attain their coaching certification, pass a background check, and complete all necessary paperwork. If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact Athletic Director Chad Cruthis as soon as possible by email at ccruthis@lcusd9.org

What is a Paraprofessional?
A paraprofessional is a specially trained and certified educational worker who helps teachers and students in the classroom. They provide instructional support to teachers and students, helping them understand and learn different subjects like math, science, English, and social studies.
Paraprofessionals are a valuable part of the education process. They help to ensure that instruction is efficient and effective by providing support in several ways. Their main responsibilities involve assisting with instruction, providing support during testing, working with students with special needs, managing classrooms, and generally bringing positive energy into the learning environment.
Paraprofessionals may also help with other tasks such as grading papers, preparing materials for lessons, supervising students during lunch or recess, or providing guidance to students who need extra help. They are an important part of the school’s staff and play an essential role in helping create a safe learning environment for all students.
All high school girls interested in playing softball and soccer this spring with the Wesclin coop, there is a mandatory parent meeting this Thursday at the Wesclin HS cafeteria at 6:30
This week is National FFA Week! Please help us celebrate by participating in our dress up days!
We will have our player/parent/coach meeting for high school baseball on Tuesday night at 7:00 in the high school commons. All players who are interested in playing should attend this meeting tomorrow
