Athletic Update for 11/11 First we would like to thank all of our Veterans for their service here on Veterans Day. This Wednesday-Nov 15th is our Fall Sports Recognition Night at the high school at 6:30, if you have not sent your rsvp in for the Booster Club please do so asap, or you can email me at ccruthis@lcusd9.org and let me know how many will attend. Winter Sports are up and running. JH Girls Basketball started in October and they have been working hard and winning some games. They placed 2nd in the St. Libory Tournnament and they have now started conference play so if you have a chance to come catch a game the athletes would appreciate it. JH Boys Basketball also started in October and have also been working hard. They don't have a lot of experience back from their successful season last year but the boys are working hard for our coaches. They have also started conference games and they also would love to see more people come out to see them play. JH cheerleading has started and they have been performing at all home games (boys and girls). HS girls basketball started Oct 31st with the new co-op with Wesclin and they will play their first game at home(Wesclin Gym) on Tuesday Nov 14th, JV at 6:00 and Varsity at 7:30 vs Staunton HS Boys basketball started practice this week and currently have 14 boys out for the season. They will open up on Tuesday Nov 21st at the Mulberry Grove Tournament. HS Boys Bowling has started and is participating in the Collinsville Tournament today, good luck! HS girls bowling will start practice this Monday Nov 13th. Both teams will have their home matches at St Clair Bowl again and they will start at 3:00 so if you can stop by and catch a match they would appreciate it. HS Cheerleading has started and is working hard, we have 7 girls our working hard everyday after school. Good luck this winter Greyhounds!

So happy to celebrate Dictionary Day! This event is made possible thanks to the Lebanon Rotary Club, Mary Renfro's family and the Delta Kappa Gamma teacher's sorority. They have been presenting dictionaries to each of our third graders for many years.
