Our LES students were busy learning about solar eclipses today with the assistance of the River Bend Astronomy Club. We appreciate all our volunteers who helped with the stations and prepared us for Monday's solar eclipse.
We had a very exciting day today at LES. Author Jennifer Ward and LCHS alum, Kathy (Renfro) Weber, visited with us. We got a sneak peek at Jennifer's writing and revision process and gained insight into the publishing process. Kathy shared her love of puppets. Thank you to Delta Kappa Gamma and all our sponsors! Every student went home today with a signed copy of a Jennifer Ward book.
Families, tomorrow will be a full day of activities for our elementary students. If you could, please dress your students in play/older clothes and shoes because some of the activities will be messy.

The 2nd Annual Lebanon Greyhounds Basketball camp is back for the summer of 2024. Camp will run from June 3rd-7th and is open for any current K-6th graders. Today's high school baseball game at East Alton Wood River is canceled. Players will practice inside from 3pm-5pm.
Today's Junior high soccer home game at 4:00 is on, the forecast is for it to be wet and cold but as long as there isn't any lightning or poor field conditions, we will play.

ATTENTION: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders! Our next intramural is for you ... BOWLING! We are only accepting the first 24 students because of lane usage at the bowling alley. Bowling intramurals will take place on April 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25. April 9 and 11 will take place at LES. April 16, 18, 23, and 25 the students will be bussed to and from Hank's Bowl in Trenton. Shoes and bowling balls will be provided. Parent pick up will be at the back door of LES at 4:15 on the first two sessions and 4:30 the last four sessions. The fee is $35.00. You can pay on myschoolbucks or bring in cash or check in an envelope with your child's name marked Bowling Intramurals. Athletic Reminders
JH Soccer practice starts today. Practice will be from 3:30-5:00, rain or shine. JH athletes are to report to the high school commons after school to wait for practice.
Tonight is the Winter sports recognition night in the high school gym, doors will open at 6:00 and presentations will start at 6:30.
We will have our Easter break from Wednesday March 27th thru Tuesday April 2nd. Athletic practices and events will occur over break and coaches will let athletes and parents know about practice times, bus times and game times through their groupme app for their sport. Please communicate with our coaches if you will be out of town at any point over Easter break.
Reminder that we will have our winter sports recognition night tomorrow(Monday) at 6:30 in the high school gym. We will recognize High School Bowling, Cheerleading and Basketball. As well as Junior High Bowling, Cheerleading, Basketball and Volleyball.
To celebrate a job well done on state testing this week, our third - fifth graders enjoyed popcorn and a movie this afternoon. Thanks for your hard work Greyhounds!
