Congratulations to this week's Athletes of the Week for 8-26 My two athletes of the week for JH Softball are Hayden Venhaus and Khloe Munton. Hayden #9 is a 6th grader. She is one of our top pitchers. Hayden is a great player. She is always finding ways to improve her game. She is very coachable and will try anything we ask. Hayden is our leader in RBIs. She currently has 11 for the season so far. She also has 5 singles, 2 doubles, and 2 triples. Hayden is doing great things for Greyhound Softball! Khloe Munton #24 is a 7th grader. She plays multiple positions. Khloe is one of our main catchers, she also plays shortstop and third base. She is a great team player and has a fun personality! Khloe has an average of .423 and an on base percentage of .545. She has 11 hits for the season with one home run! Khloe is a big part of our team in defense as well as offense! JH Baseball-Anthony Kittstein, Colby Casperson Anthony Kittstein led the team to victory this past week getting the win on the mound against Shiloh Middle School. Anthony also pitched a great game against Albers, had the game tying hit and scored the winning run that game in the bottom of the sixth inning. Anthony has made positive contributions to the team each game he’s played. Colby Casperson has been battling through a thumb injury the past week. Before the injury, he was off to a hot start at the plate. Since the injury, he’s been to every practice and game supporting his team and being a positive role model for the younger players. Colby’s thumb is feeling better and he should be back in the lineup this week. The Greyhounds are 5 and 3 this season. HS Volleyball- Jayden Luna-not pictured, Jada Williams Varsity: Jayden Luna (Senior) -Jayden was chosen for her hard work and dedication. Jayden comes into practice with a great attitude and an even greater work ethic. No matter the drill we are doing she gives 100%. -Something that stands out from Jayden is that she provides a helping hand by coaching up the under class men whenever they are confused or struggling. JV: Jada Williams (Sophomore) -Jada was chosen for her infectious positive attitude. Jada always comes into practice with a bright smile on her face. Jada also brings tremendous effort into practice. No matter the obstacle thrown her way Jada will always overcome it with her strong devotion and with a smile on her face. -Something that stands out from Jada is her positivity. Jada brings a welcoming and fun environment to the team especially when we are in need of a pick me up.

Congratulations to 7th grader Marley Pier and 6th grader Charlotte Ruth on being named Athletes of the Week by Coach Lori Reinneck Coach Reinneck says: Marley plays a variety of positions for this Greyhound team. Catcher, 3rd base and shortstop are a few, but I think we could put her anywhere and she would do great. She is also our leadoff batter with an on base percentage of .545, 7 walks and 3 hit by pitches. She manages to get on base a lot! Charlotte is one of our pitchers. She works hard from the mound and stays focused on the batter. She also plays multiple positions for us as well including shortstop. She knows the game of softball really well and is a very smart base runner. Her on base % is .421 and she has 3 runs batted in. The lady Greyhounds are 4-2 and just finished 3rd in the Marissa Tournament this weekend, keep it up girls!

Congratulations to 8th grader Parker Konieczny and 8th grader Garrett Cotts for being named Athletes of the Week by Lebanon Baseball Coach Kyle Donovan Coach Donovan says: Parker has been to every practice and worked extremely hard getting better at the catching position. He's been coachable, has a good attitude and has numerous big hits so far this year to help us win games early in the season. Parker is hitting .417 so far and he will be a key to our team's success as the year progresses. Garrett is very competitive and plays the game at 100%. He has taken a leadership role for the entire team, especially the younger players. Garrett has played 2nd base, 3rd base and pitched so far this year. I've really enjoyed watching him play and progress as a leader. Garrett is hitting .417 on the year.
